Governing Council
CBS has a Governing Council comprising some of the most-renowned industry captains across several growth-oriented Industries.
Each Governing Council Member is the Chairman of one of the six "Knowledge Varsities", and plays an important role in the development of the respective Programs and their acceptability by Industry. The Governing Council plays an active role in the administration of the School and is involved in:

Mr. Pradipta K. Mohapatra, Chairman of Retail Varsity, Member, Governing Council, CBS. Pradipta K. Mohapatra served for USD 2 Billion RPG Group as a Director on the Main Board. Mr. Mohapatra lectures in a number of Business schools in India and abroad. He is also represented in the Governing Councils of three Business Schools and Board of Studies of two prominent universities. He held the Co-Chair of National Committee on Higher and Technical Education for CII. He studied Engineering and Management at Jamnalal Bajaj and Harvard Business School. He was also invited to be a fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, UK. Several parts of his professional work have been converted to case studies at IMD Lausanne, HBS Boston and IIM, Ahmedabad. He used to be the chairman of CII Southern Region. Mr. K. Krishnan
Mr. K. Krishnan was the Joint President in charge of Broadband and Telephone Services of AirTel. Prior to joining Airtel, Mr.Krishnan worked for the RPG Group in various capacities for 10 years including: CEO of the Cellular business and as the Managing Director of their Entertainment business. A Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant by profession Mr. Krishnan has experience in various industries including Management Consulting, Fertilizers, Cement, IT, Telecom services and Entertainment. He is a certified member of the Institute of Quality Ltd. He is also a certified assessor on competency-based recruitments and development based on the SHL model.

Mr. J. N. Amrolia
Executive Director, Ashok Leyland Ltd. For over a decade as Executive Director, HR, he has headed the Human Resources function of the Commercial Vehicle major with a turnover of USD 2 Billion. While he continues to mentor the HR function he has now transited to a Business Head role with responsibility for setting up and developing the Construction Equipment Business for the Company. He has also taken over the additional responsibility of an associate company Automotive Coaches & Components Ltd., as Director-in-charge. He holds an Hons. Degree in Economics from Bombay University, a Master's Degree in Personnel Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Bombay and a Diploma in Systems Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Bombay University. For more than three decades he has been an active contributor to the development of the HR function in the country.

Mr. Mohan Menon
He is a former Member of the Board of Ogilvy & Mather. Majoring in Science from Bombay University, he has obtained a PG qualification in Advertising & Public Relations. He has been trained in Toronto and New York and has extensive experience in multifaceted roles: creative, brand management and running offices and regions. Mr. Menon has lectured widely and was for sometime a visiting faculty at the IIM, Ahmedabad. He consults in the area of advertising, branding and change management. Mr. N. Sathasivam
A Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience and has worked at senior levels in large corporates such as Dunlop, Fujitsu ICIM, RPG Cellular, Saregama India & RPG Retail. Held position of CFO for over 10 years and was Head- Music World (leading music retail stores chain in India). Has extensively dealt with global investing community, Financial Institutions etc. Currently, he is self employed, heading a KPO (ThinksynQ Solutions Pvt. Mr. M. S. Ravichandran
Mr. M.S. Ravichandran was formerly the Chief Technology Officer, Bharti, Tamil Nadu. He obtained his PG degree in Communication Systems from IIT Madras in 1974. He was initially with the R&D division of ITI Ltd and contributed to the design and development of subsystems and systems for Terrestrial Microwave Radio and Satellite Communication. He also played a key role in the formation of the first Joint Venture to manufacture VSATs in India and the setting up of VSAT based networks NICNET and RABMN. Mr. Ravichandran was responsible for setting up the first Cellular network in Chennai through RPG Cellular Services. As CTO of Bharti, TN, he has been in the lead role of setting up infrastructure and the network for the first 'Basic services'(landline) by a private operator in Tamil Nadu.
