CBS offers a one year, full time Post Graduate Program in Information Technology Management.

Eligibility

Engineering graduates desirous of making their mark in this industry and with relevant experience in software development of atleast 2 years.

Curriculum

The specialized course in IT management includes a combination of functional areas and domain expertise and comprises the following topics :-

IT in Business & Functional Analysis
Strategic Account Management & Selling Methodologies
Project Management & Tools
Domain Specific applications, systems development and architecture etc. in areas such as Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Telecom, Retail , Healthcare & Manufacturing
Proposal writing, contract preparation and other account acquisition tools & methodologies
People management techniques, soft skills & presentation capability building
Financial Accounting& Financial Management systems in IT industry
Growth models in IT industry including acquisitions & mergers

Job Opportunities

Opportunities in this industry will be in excess of supply in management roles rather than in Software Development be it in Sales, Strategic Account Management, Business Development, Functional Specialists or Project Management. Large corporate organizations are in need of people with a strategic understanding of IT and business. Similarly the software organizations need professionals who can propose / architect solutions for their prospects / clients in various domains and communicate the relevance of the solutions being proposed in a language they can easily relate to.

Fee Structure

The fee for the Program is Rs 5,50,000 (inclusive of service tax). This includes the cost of simulated management games/ activities and other events which will be of benefit / interest to the students. All students are encouraged to participate in such events.

The students will undergo a one month internship in the month of March.
