Mr. M. S. Ravichandran, Member Governing Council, CBS

Mr. M.S. Ravichandran was formerly the Chief Technology Officer, Bharti, Tamil Nadu. He obtained his PG degree in Communication Systems from IIT Madras in 1974. He was initially with the R&D division of ITI Ltd and contributed to the design and development of subsystems and systems for Terrestrial Microwave Radio and Satellite Communication. He also played a key role in the formation of the first Joint Venture to manufacture VSATs in India and the setting up of VSAT based networks NICNET and RABMN. Mr. Ravichandran was responsible for setting up the first Cellular network in Chennai through RPG Cellular Services. As CTO of Bharti, TN, he has been in the lead role of setting up infrastructure and the network for the first Basic services' (landline) by a private operator in Tamil Nadu. He has published a number of papers in National and International conferences
