Prof. Sridar Natarajan Dean B.Tech (Hons) IIT Kharagpur , PGDBM (Finance & Systems ) IIM Bangalore
Prof Sridar Natarajan is a Metallurgical Engineer from IIT Kharaghpur (1977-82). After a two-year stint as a Quality Assurance Engineer in Tata Motors Co. (then TELCO), he resigned to pursue his PGDBM at IIM-Bangalore, specializing in Finance and Systems (1984-86).
Most of his post-management career has been at Ernst & Young and member Firms in India and Saudi Arabia (1986-1998) as a management consultant. In E&Y, he has executed a wide range of assignments from developing costing and accounting systems for manufacturing companies and banks to developing business requirements using CASE tools for retail and manufacturing companies. He was involved in a start-up venture in IT-Training for a couple of years before he entered into the teaching profession. He was the Director - MBA of a leading college in Coimbatore for 3 years. Between 2005 and 2007, he has practiced as an independent management consultant - executing assignments on costing and finance and conducting executive development programs for companies in Coimbatore. He has also been a visiting faculty for Finance and Operations in BIM and PSGIM.
Prof.Sridar joined Chennai Business School as Dean in 2007. He handles Quantitative Techniques and Financial Management as part of the General Management course and Derivatives for the BFS varsity.

Prof. K Rajeshwari B .E (College of Engineering, Anna University); PGDM, Marketing ( IIM Ahmedabad)
A consistent academic topper through her student life, she has a rich experience of working in Corporate India for fifteen years. She has worked in organisations like HUL, Cavinkare and Nippon Paint in many aspects of Sales and Marketing. Her professional experience also includes working in several industries like- FMCG, Paints and technology across various parts of India, adding a rich diversity to her profile.
She did pioneering work in setting up rural distribution for tea shops when she was at sales in HUL- this won her the Chairman Award. She moved onto handling two top brands Brooke Bond A1 and Lipton Tiger- an innovative tea based beverage.- the first of its kind in the World. As a category manager for skin care, Cavinkare gave her an exposure to marketing personal care brands in urban India. Post which she moved on to head Marketing function at Nippon Paint- and was a part of the start up team that rolled out the brands in India. Her last assignment was as Vice President Marketing and Branding at Novatium Solutions- an affordable computing service company.
Having worked with the top in the industry, she is passionate about teaching at various business schools like IIT, CBS for the last one year. She has also been a part of the panel of jury in many B School competitions. Bringing real life learnings to the class room is her strength.
Her research interests are in the area of New product development in the Indian context. She teaches Marketing management courses like Brand Management , Sales and Distribution and New product development.
Prof. Palanivelu
With a B.E(Hons) in Electrical engineering, Prof. Palanivelu has more than 30 years of progressive experience in information technology with cross functional assignments in marketing and manufacturing and a proven track record of leveraging information technology to deliver bottom line results and building high powered, result oriented teams.He has many years of rich experience in IT industry in General Management and in managing Service operations. He has worked in Bharat Electronics, Fujitsu ICIM, RPG Telecom, RPG Retail and Zensar Technologies in various roles.
Prof.Palani teaches Operations Management as a core subject and ERP, Strategic Information systems Planning and IT in Retail and Telecom Domain as specialisation subjects.

Dr.Prasanna Sivanandam
She is a result-oriented professional with over 14 years of experience in teaching and corporate consultancy, besides three years of experience in responsible management positions in India .She has conducted workshops on parenting and stress Management for employees of Blue chip Companies
like Cognizant Technologies ,Polaris ,Ford and had also been a regular guest consultant for Britannia Industries. She has been involved in designing curricula, organizing & conducting Training & Professional Effectiveness Programs for different groups of audiences like Management Executives, Non-Government Organization Executives, General Managers, Engineers, Medical Doctors, Academicians and Students in India. She has completed her Ph D from the University of Madras & MBA at Indira Gandhi University.
Dr.Prasanna teaches Organizational Behaviour and HR Management as core subjects and Training and Development and Strategic HRM as specialisation subjects.
Prof. A. Venkata Subramanian – B.Com, PGDM (IIM-B), FICWA, ACS
Prof. A. Venkata Subramanian has a brilliant academic record to his credit and has over 30 years experience in industry, consulting and teaching. He did his B.Com from Loyola College, Chennai and the 2 year full time Post Graduate Programme in Management from IIM Bangalore, He is also a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India and Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
He has been teaching/training for the past 5 1/2 years – before joining CBS he worked with ICFAI Business School (IBS), Chennai as a Faculty Member. Prior to entering the teaching profession he worked for over 27 years in industry and consultancy with reputed companies in India and abroad. His experience has covered a wide range of areas like Project finance, Joint ventures, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate planning & Strategy, Financial planning, Compliance and Corporate governance, Accounting, MIS and training.
Prof. Venkat worked in senior management positions in India / abroad with leading organizations -Shell Group companies, Essar Oil Ltd, PSEG Group (a Fortune 500 US Based large energy company),Torrent Energy, A.F.Ferguson & Co. etc.
Prof. Venkat teaches subjects like Business Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Management Control systems, Financial Management, Accounting for Managers, Personal Financial Planning etc for MBA / Post Graduate Programme students. He has also participated in conducting Management Development programmes, Faculty Development programmes, Management Seminars and other institution building activities. He received the ‘Best Faculty’ award at IBS Chennai for the year 2008-2009.
Prof. Venkat has published various articles and book reviews in areas of Strategy, M&A management, Collaborative advantage, decision making, change management etc. in reputed management magazines.
Prof. Sangeetha
Professor Sangeetha is an MBA from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. She completed International Agriculture Programme at Cornell university, USA. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. A graduate in Agricultural Sciences, she worked in a Public Sector Bank as Manager (Agri Business Marketing). During her tenure with the bank, she concentrated on Microfinance and High value agricultural finance. Image building for the bank and organising various, campaigns and events were major assignments undertaken by her. She took academics as her career path and worked with Symbiosis International University, Pune, where she taught Marketing Management, Rural Marketing and Agricultural Finance.
At CBS, Prof Sangeetha teaches Marketing Management, Rural Marketing and Event Management.
Prof. Doris John
Doris John has specialized in developing case studies as pedagogical tools for management education. She has published more than 200 Case Studies and Teaching Notes on the European Case Clearing House (ECCH), with leading international B-Schools like the Manchester Business School, University of Bath, Kingston University etc. using them regularly in their curriculum. She was the first runner-up in the IIMB-Tata Steel Prize (a cash prize of Rs. One Lac.) for the best cases in the competition conducted by British Council along with the Nottingham University Business School International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility and the IIMB Centre for Corporate Governance and Citizenship. She is a management graduate from the Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM) and has both industry and academic experience. She was involved in academic publishing with Icfai and has also handled client servicing and PR assignments.
Dr. U. Jayalakshmi Srikumar
Having obtained here doctorate, has been teaching for 14 years now. Apart from teaching she has been actively involved in empirical research in the areas of development economics, small – scale industries, industrial sickness, environment management and policy impact studies. She has a number of publications in national referred journals to her credit. Two of her papers ‘SMEs and Environment Management’ and ‘SMEs and Global Competitiveness’ have won awards at the PSG Institute of Management and IBS Kolkata – Telegraph award for ‘Excellence in Management Writing’.
Mr.Balchand Parayath
Has over 35 years of work experience in the textile, oil and business/IT consulting industries. Main focus area has been managing multi-locational manufacturing operations for Madura Coats and Castrol. Was looking after the Supply Chain and Supplier Relationship Management practices in the consulting division of Satyam Computer Services Limited. After retirement, currently is an Advisor to an IT start-up and a supply chain consulting company and a co-ordinator for an NGO.
Mr.V.P. Raman
Graduated as the Best Outgoing Student of the 3 year LLB course form the Indian Law Society, Pune in 2004. Leading practitioner at the BAR council in Tamil Nadu He has been teaching at the ICSI Institute, LIBA and executive programs of LIBA, CBS and National Management School(NMS).
Mr.V.P. Raman’s practice is primarily in Litigation and involves issues relating to Constitutional Law, Commercial Law including Intellectual Property Rights, Arbitration and Criminal law.
Prof. Vijayaraghavan.S.V, ACA (Chartered Accountancy), MBA (IIM, Bangalore)
In addition to being a Chartered Accountant , Prof.Vijayaraghavan holds an MBA degree from IIM, Bangalore He has held a number of very senior positions in a wide spectrum of industries. In his capacity as Director, Finance ISOFT R&D Pvt. Ltd and CFO, Thinksoft Global Services Pvt. Ltd., he has independently handled the finance and accounts operations and has vast experience in the areas of Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Costing, Statutory Audit, Central Excise, Credit Control in diverse industries such as Automobiles, Financial Services, IT (Hardware and Software).
Currently he is visiting faculty at a number of premier educational institutions. He teaches Financial and Cost management and related courses.
Prof. Aravind Narasipur
Aravind Narasipur is an engineering graduate with 16 years of industry experience, mostly in the field of IT-related Quality Assurance and has been a visiting faculty at ICFAI, Bangalore and CBS, Chennai. He has a BE Degree in Electronics, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University). He teaches Managerial Statistics and Business Research Methods.
Prof. Dr. Suresh Srinivasan
Dr. Suresh Srinivasan is a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, MBA (Bradford Business School, UK ) and PhD (in Corporate Strategy from IIT Madras). He has held senior positions in leading multinational corporations both in India (Tata Steel, IDBI) and abroad ( Houston based J Ray McDermott, Dubai based Emirates Airlines) for over 23 years.
His areas of expertise include Corporate Planning and Strategy, Project and Business Finance, Business Valuations, Project Appraisals, Due Diligence, Mergers, Acquisitions and Joint Ventures with extensive ‘hands on’ experience, both internationally as well as in India. He also has demonstrated excellence in cementing various international joint ventures through effective commercial, financial and legal structuring, and having been exposed to specifics of many international locations. He has widely travelled around the world (over five continents) setting up operations in Singapore, Philippines, many countries within the Middle East and Africa and has the experience of evaluating projects in the United States, Europe, Asia Pacific, Australia and China.
As a Management Consultant, he currently works closely with a number of domestic and multinational corporations in the areas of Strategy and Finance. His current teaching and research interests include Corporate and Business Strategy, Diversification and Family Business.

The Executive Education at CBS is being spearheaded by Prof. A. Panneer Selvam
Prof. A.Panneer Selvam
Prof. A. Panneer Selvam is a PGDBA from St. Josephs and he is incharge of Placement and Executive Education of CBS. Formerly, he was the Head of Retail varsity for two years at CBS. He has totally 23 years of experience in Retail Marketing, in various senior positions.
He worked with Dunlop India Ltd. for 14 years in various senior managerial capacities, which includes a stint as Regional Sales Manager for southern region.
Prof. Panneer Selvam was a practising SAP consultant with Pentafour on sales & distribution module. He was also heading a Malaysian multinational infrastructure company for their Indian operations for 6 years.
Ms. Kalyani Hariharan
Kalyani Hariharan, is a Post Graduate in English Literature with a B Ed from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. She has a certificate course in Management Development Program for women entrepreneurs from IIM – Bangalore and has completed various courses on training and development from ISTD and NATAD .She has also done certificate courses from TISS on interpersonal skills, theme centred learning and participated in other interactive workshops.
Her career began with teaching and she later went on to executing projects in the Music industry. She has started Master Mind Academy which trains students in Mental Arithmetic, English and Soft Skills. She is the founder of METAMORPHOSIS – Training academy for Change and Development, which conducts workshops for working professionals and colleges on various soft skills and interview techniques.
Her excellent interpersonal skills, corporate exposure coupled with her experience and her innate passion for knowledge management and education have led her to develop powerful, customised and practical developmental programs. She currently co-ordinates placement preparations at CBS and is incharge of admissions to Curtin University, Perth, Australia.
