Professor Sridar Natarajan, Dean, Chennai Business School
If you are reading this page, you are probably an aspirant wishing to pursue your management course. Let me first congratulate you on your decision.
If you are either wanting to make a career in Industry or start a new business, it is wise to pursue a management qualification – as it provides the necessary cross-functional skills to address management challenges, which are often multi-dimensional.
Chennai Business School is now in eleventh year of existence and we are now admitting students for the twelfth batch.
When we started our first batch in 2006, we had only 3 specialization modules – which we address as “Varsities”. Today, we offer Programs in six Varsities – Entrepreneurship, Finance, Human Resources, IT (meant for working professionals), International Business and Marketing & Communications Management.
Right from the year of commencement, CBS has been very well received by Industry. Our students have been placed in reputed organizations like Ashok Leyland, Taj Hotels and Pantaloons, to name a few, and the feedback from these organizations have given us the confidence that the students’ learning has really been “real world”. Placements have been near 100% in every year since inception. Current batch placements are already in progress.
It is not ‘all work and no play’ at CBS. Students find time to engage in several activities – farewell parties, welcome parties, ethnic day, fete and cultural programs. Students also undertake projects for companies while they are doing the course. The fact that a majority of our admissions happen through student referrals speaks volumes about the relevance and acceptance of the Program.
Having made the choice to pursue a management qualification, you will find in Chennai Business School an Institute that addresses most of your requirements. CBS is one of the most-preferred B-Schools in Chennai today and we have commenced our journey to become prominent in the national arena. We have been consistently ranked among the top 50 B-Schools by Business India and by the Times of India in 2013. We hope to become the most preferred B-School in the country in the near future.
