CBS offers a one year, full time Post Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship.
B-School Graduates have always had an inclination to set up their own entrepreneurial ventures. Chennai Business School too has had its shares of students who have started entrepreneurial ventures after a couple of years of corporate experience.
In order to cater to the need of such students, Chennai Business School has launched the 1-year PG Program in Entrepreneurship. Given that the start-ups are booming in the country and that the Government is focusing on providing a favorable investment climate, the timing is appropriate.
Chennai Business School offers a one year, full time Post Graduate Program in Entrepreneurship.
The course is designed to provide adequate inputs to the students to make them successful in their ventures. Inputs will be in the form of:
- Interaction with successful entrepreneurs who will spend time in sharing the problems they faced when they started their ventures. Learning from others’ experiences is one of the best ways to learn
- Interaction with Venture Capitalists, Angel Investors and Project Finance experts from Banks to throw light on the financing options available and government initiatives to promote new ventures
- Course inputs as detailed in the curriculum below.
The PGPM in Entrepreneurship has 1,100 hours of classroom contact and field work hours. Of this, around 600 hours will be the General Management module which has been described earlier and which is common to all streams of specialization.
The specialization course consists of a selection of courses across the major functional specializations – Marketing, Finance, Human Resources and Operations.

The course is meant for persons who want to start their own enterprise either immediately after the completion of the course or within a few years of completion.
This course is meant for those who would like to start their own ventures. However, if any candidate would like to gain some exposure in Industry before starting their own venture, we will provide placement assistance.
The jobs are likely to be in the area of General Management.
The fee for the Program is Rs 6,00,000 (inclusive of service tax). This includes the cost of reading material.
