“Too much obscure, pseudo-scientific research is being pursued by
unworldly academics living in a ‘publish or perish’ culture.
The students emerging from these schools are ill-equipped to deal with
the real, messy world of management. They have theories and flowcharts
and quaint analysis coming out of their ears, but little experience, poor
judgement and questionable values.”
– Warren Bennis
Leadership Guru

At CBS, we believe that there is a growing concern in the real world of
business that graduates of business schools are not getting equipped to
handle real-life issues of business. This is true for a large number of
business schools in India and overseas alike.
CBS has been incubated by a group of CEOs with over 500 man years of rich
experience in manufacturing and service businesses in India and abroad.
Members of the Governing Council come from backgrounds in industries such
as Automobile, Telecom, IT, Retail, Entertainment, Communication and Engineering.
A distinguished body of CEOs and academic professionals who have excelled
in their fields forms the Advisory Council.
The School delivers programs in a number of knowledge verticals. Each
knowledge vertical has been appropriately named as a 'Knowledge Varsity'.
The school’s current focus is in six varsities – 'HR Varsity',
'IT Varsity', 'Marcom Varsity', 'Retail Varsity' 'Telecom Varsity' and
'Insurance Varsity' offering eight programs.
Each of the Varsities will deliver specialized post-graduate programs,
on a full-time basis.
Half of the course work will be delivered by Academic Members of faculty.
The other half will be delivered by practicing professionals who are leaders
in Industry and business, and specialized in the specific knowledge vertical.
While sufficient academic rigour is built into program structure, a large
number of cases concerning strategic as well as tactical issues in the
business world will form a good part of program delivery.
